helged Posted February 28, 2020 Share #1 Posted February 28, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello folks! Anyone with experience with the Lumix Sync app for controlling the S1*-bodies? I am interested in using the smart phone as a remote controller of the body, preferably at a distance of several tens of meters.

verwackelt Posted March 1, 2020 Share #2 Posted March 1, 2020 Is bluetooth powerful enough for longer distance than 10 meter? I have a bbq bluetooth thermometer. Connected with the app on my smartphone it reaches not more than 8-10 m..
iiiNelson Posted April 24, 2020 Share #3 Posted April 24, 2020 The feature works well when it works but it was an extremely finnicky app when I first got my camera last fall. They’ve done a few updates now and it seems to be more stable. It’s probably the most fully featured camera app I’m used so far as it applies to total capability after you get it working. I’m not sure that mine is working over WiFi or Bluetooth but I usually have them both on simultaneously on my iPad.
scott kirkpatrick Posted May 6, 2020 Share #4 Posted May 6, 2020 I use Lumix Synch with an S1R. It's pretty effective as a remote and for the geotagging of pictures using only the BlueTooth, not the wifi. I can start up Synch on the phone, check that it is connected to the camera, put the phone in my pocket and forget it for moderate periods of time, like half an hour, and the GPS information is transferred after each picture is taken.
