Chuckcars Posted August 8, 2007 Share #2 Posted August 8, 2007 Great panorama. I have been wondering how the M8 will handle stitching. Please tell me what application(s) you used for processing. How did you do the overlap?
dan_drabek Posted August 8, 2007 Share #3 Posted August 8, 2007 Great job, Arne. That final file must be huge. DD

photoarne Posted August 9, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted August 9, 2007 Thanks for the comments. Chuck: These are hand-held shots. I used PTGui which stitched a nearly perfect pano on first try, I'm really impressed with this program. Daniel: The final file, after necessary cropping is 74,9 mbt in 8-bit tiff; size is 7940x3296. The M8 lends itself very well to panoramas because as the viewfinder shows a good bit outside the framelines it makes it easier to calculate the overlap. The final image shows good detail (and some moire!), here's a 100 % crop.
