It’s voigtlanders latest gen of lenses (update of the CV50/1.5), which many photographers enjoy. If you like sharpness it’s there stopped down to f2, and if you like a little bit of glow it has it wide open at f1.2. I think it’s the same price as the 50/2 Zeiss and less than the 50/2.4 Leica. HI NRK, thank you for the tip. But at this moment of my life, I decided already for the Summicron V. It will be my daily lens, with an amazing overall and superb performance 🙂 , no excuses. But The Nokton 1.2, is a great option is you want to play wider open. I guess step by step, I'll upadte and add lenses for that specific effect and needs. So, in the future who knows, I will probably get another 50mm or a 75mm with s super bokeh. But the Summicron, has to my "base" for the 50mm, you know what I mean? sblutter Posted February 29, 2020 Share #122 Posted February 29, 2020 For serious 50mm work, Summi V4 For walking around all day I want a small lens. Elmar-M 50 2.8 collapsible or Summi-C 40 2.0 depending on location. Both small, easy to travel with & focus to .7M
Harpomatic Posted March 1, 2020 Share #123 Posted March 1, 2020 Has anyone noticed that he bought the Summicron V already? Great choice and should last for a long time in the arsenal! 👍🏻
shirubadanieru Posted March 1, 2020 Share #124 Posted March 1, 2020 It seems he already bought it but in regards to small lens I’d agree Elmar 50 f2.8 is a great option. Also, probably one of the most interesting small lens is the (Sonnar formula) Rollei 40mm f2.8

I unfortunately sold this lens & regret it..one of the best non leica lens
