elansprint72 Posted August 8, 2007 Share #1 Posted August 8, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Last barge of the day enters the bottom lock in the flight on Caen Hill, Devizes, Witshire.UK. It took them 1hr 50 min from top to bottom and there was no other traffic! V-Lux1

andybarton Posted August 8, 2007 Share #2 Posted August 8, 2007 Lightweights. We did Tardebigge before lunch once, including the deepest narrow lock in Britain. Lovely canal, the Kennet and Avon. We keep meaning to have another go at it. Nice rhythm in the beams, here, Pete.
stuny Posted August 8, 2007 Share #3 Posted August 8, 2007 Pete - Perfect location for this eyeball bending shot, and perfectly executed. We went through some of these on a barge following a friend's wedding. The ceremony wasperformed by the town registrar, after which the first reception was at a 16th century manor house. The second reception, on a barge, was where we could dance.
wda Posted August 8, 2007 Share #4 Posted August 8, 2007 Pete, good perspective and tones. Perhaps I would prefer to see the boat edging out of the bottom lock. David
