jrethorst Posted February 12, 2020 Share #1 Posted February 12, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I understand that the D2's battery part number is CGR-S602, followed by A, B or E. An online battery store offers a CB-S602A/1B. They say it's the same battery, but I've seen at least S602 on entirely different batteries. It would be important to use the correct battery, at risk of frying the circuit board. Does anyone know if the CB is the same as the CGR? Thanks, John R. wda Posted February 12, 2020 Share #2 Posted February 12, 2020 John, the official Leica part number is BP-DC1-E 7.2V 1400 mAh. I bought one from Amazon which came from Germany which replaces three types, one of which is CGR-S602A.and is 1700 mAh.

jrethorst Posted February 13, 2020 Author Share #4 Posted February 13, 2020 Hi Pete, I have a couple CGR S602A and a couple CGR S602E. My question is whether the CB S602 is a compatible battery. John
farnz Posted February 13, 2020 Share #5 Posted February 13, 2020 Hi John, When I search on "CB S602" the results all point to CGR S602 variants but I haven't found the CB S602 so it's difficult to tell without seeing a picture of it. As long as the terminal voltage is no greater than 7.2 Volts and the four battery contacts are labelled "-" "D" "T" "+" in that order with the battery curvy side down and looking at it with the contacts towards you then it will be a compatible battery. Pete.
