I understand that the D2's battery  part number is CGR-S602, followed by A, B or E. An online battery store offers a CB-S602A/1B. They say it's the same battery, but I've seen at least S602 on entirely different batteries. It would be important to use the correct battery, at risk of frying the circuit board. Does anyone know if the CB is the same as the CGR?

Thanks, John R.

Hi John,

When I search on "CB S602" the results all point to CGR S602 variants but I haven't found the CB S602 so it's difficult to tell without seeing a picture of it.

As long as the terminal voltage is no greater than 7.2 Volts and the four battery contacts are labelled "-" "D" "T" "+" in that order with the battery curvy side down and looking at it with the contacts towards you then it will be a compatible battery.

Pete.
