To me, the 50mm is neither a 35 nor a 75. And the apo75 is fantastic.
The focus throw is a tad too short, but I prefer a shorter throw to turning the focus ring into eternity

Speaking of the 75 Summicron, if I might digress. Heliopan makes a 49mm tele lens hood that is about double the length of the extended built-in hood.  It provides superior protection against flare  and does not vignette. Highly recommended.

The 75 Summicron is one of my most used M lenses. I find it easy to focus too.

What a fascinating photo in so many ways. I hope it’s hanging on the wall.

One of my favorite photos I've ever seen on the forum. Thank you for sharing.

Regrettably I have not made a print. A couple of years ago I managed to sell my Epson 7880 printer (basically for nothing if someone came and took it away) and as my wife and I plan on relocating somewhere else I haven't got round to buying a new printer yet.

Thank you. I am humbled. There are so many beautiful images throughout this forum. It is one of the reasons I moved over to Leica.

Although saying that, this photo isn't particularly indicative of the characteristics of a 75mm Summicron, but it was taken with it.

Central Park a week or so ago, my MA and 75mm summicron ... I love the lens too, don't use it as often as I should because it is sooooo heavy .... Ilford HP5+ developed in DD-X (with the lock-down, I got back to developing my own b&w film).
