abrewer Posted August 8, 2007 Share #1 Posted August 8, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) People who come on here and croak about how they're selling their M-camera's (film or digital) because "M's can't do sports" and all they can capture are "static images" with an M really get under my skin. That kind of baloney says more about the photographer than the camera IMO! Here's some images from the fastest sport in the world (at Michigan International Speedway last weekend) to prove that notion dead-wrong. stuny Posted August 8, 2007 Share #3 Posted August 8, 2007 Allan - I love it when you combine your signature light and color when shattering myths, which you have done here.

abrewer Posted August 8, 2007 Author Share #6 Posted August 8, 2007 Thank you Peter! Thank you Stuart! Steve, these shots were made (except for number two) on Saturday during practice when there was literally maybe a thousand people at this huge track. It was great for me, because I could get all the shots I wanted without anybody in the way. On Sunday (raceday) the race was delayed for five hours by rain. By the time the cars finally took to the track (about 6PM, in shot number two) there were only maybe fifteen or twenty thousand people in the stands--but they were the ones who really wanted to be there! Thanks. Allan
abrewer Posted August 8, 2007 Author Share #7 Posted August 8, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks Pete! They say it about everything except a Canon digital with a big-ass zoom and the Nikon D200/same. It's completely oversold IMO. Thanks. Allan
