Hello all,

Just wondering if any of the SL2ers had any setting suggestions for shooting at a dog park.
Everyone running every which way but loose. Ha

Continuous Medium Speed?  Auto Focus Continuous AFC?  Field or Zone?  AF Profile “wildlife” or “pets”?  Spot or Centered Metering?  Shutter speed (and is there a way to set a minimum shutter speed)?

I’ve been trying a few different settings but my hit-rate of in-focus shots is pretty low.  Woof.

Any suggestions or tips much appreciated

You have to take your time and try different settings.

You could start with AFc and “children and pets”. And chose a short exposure time, maybe 1/500 or less. In AF mode choose tracking or body detection. Then you are on your own ...   Let the dog run, but try to keep the camera steady (no abrupt movements).

If you want to prepare, then watch the video that Robin Sinha made. (In YouTube, AF hands-on tutorial)

It's not easy - get right in there with the commotion and shoot a lot (SL and SL 75) . . . .
