disconnekt Posted August 7, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted August 7, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I waited more than 6 months for BH Photo to get the LX025 in stock. In fact, when I bought my L1 last year, it was because I knew this lens was going to come out. Just 20 minutes ago I got an email from BH that it was in stock. I raced to the website, put one in my cart, and proceeded to put in my credit card and address. When I pressed "Complete order" I got a message that the item was no longer in stock. I AM LIVID!!! SO UNFAIR!!! Why, why, why can't I get my hands on this lens? I can't believe this. Â Sorry, just needed to vent.

Mauribix Posted August 8, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted August 8, 2007 Does anyone know if/when this lens will become available in Europe? Â I live in Italy, and my reseller has got some 25 leica f1.4 4/3 in stock right now... if you need it we can keep in touch (just done the same with Jaap this week for a really ultra-rare Elmarit ASPH28mm.....) disconnekt Posted August 8, 2007 Author Share #7 Â Posted August 8, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Mauribix, what kind of dealer has the lens in stock? I asked the Leica dealers in Paris and they said they will not receive the lens because it's a Panasonic, and the Panasonic dealers (as of 2 months ago) had never heard of the lens. So I pretty much lost hope. Then came the email from B&H yesterday..... I guess maybe they only got one in stock.

disconnekt Posted August 8, 2007 Author Share #9  Posted August 8, 2007 Karlitos, thanks for the link. But they are charging £645 ($1300)!!! B&H's price is $799. I can't afford the extra $500 (I can't even afford the $799 but I was willing to stretch!) :-(
MJLogan Posted August 8, 2007 Share #10 Â Posted August 8, 2007 I'm glad I managed to get one from the first, or maybe the second, shipment B&H got in. There wasn't so much competition then! It's a great lens, by the way, and spends much more time on my D3 body than the kit zoom does these days.
jdlaing Posted August 8, 2007 Share #11 Â Posted August 8, 2007 For $1,300.00 I would have to cut into my Starbucks habit and THAT.......................................................................................................................................................................................ain't gonna happen. Pay through the nose for everything in the UK, even my dry cleaning, and thats not ironed properly:) Still, it's a brilliant lens and worth every pound (or dollar)  Karlitos. Â The dealer is "europhoto" which is even called "Marvin" in Turin (Italy), I have been there yesterday to test one Nocti and a 75lux (They Hav both!!!...such a paradise here...). They have got at least two 25lux lenses D (i've seen on the shelf, out of the box behind the glass). Dunno the price, if you want i could always ask. P.S. it's the dealer in which i bought last week my second Elmarit 28ASPH for M-bayonet, that now Jaap is enjoyin'.... Â regards Maurizio
