Love this woodland with it's cold and warm side, lovely series Thighslapper, and a push for me to try a little harder on my daily walks.  I think like many others I have become very bored with my surroundings of late.

Woodland has been my refuge since March ..... I've found I live within 30 minutes of some very diverse accessible woodland over a geologically interesting area (north of Leicester). There is a patchwork of Woodland/National/Wildlife Trust land which being often 'member only' keeps the hordes away and quite a lot of open access woodland. Photography is much more condition, season and light dependent than 'normal' landscape subjects, with a much lower success rate, but can be very rewarding. Chest high bracken, brambles, bogs and bumping into Longhorn Cattle, roaming semi-wild add to the charm ....:)

Most of the ground cover is chest high or more in some parts, so you can find yourself nose to nose with one of these before you realise it.
