Where is everyone?  This thread could use some activity.  Come on, guys.  Am I the only one out here taking pictures with these awesome cameras and those incredible Leica lenses?

Trouble is that, at this resolution, focusing on the front wall v focusing on the house makes a difference.  So you need to focus on both, and blend.  Fortunately, the Panasonic has got you covered (as the Americans would say).

The 35mm SL Summicron's DoF needs careful handling...

The Lightroom colour profiles are not yet fully refined.  The red seems a bit OTT to me.  This ia, however, a further illustration of how narrow the depth of field the Summicron 35mm SL has.

Having had satisfactory results photographing stationary birds using the 90-280 on the CL (effectively about 560mm), I am curious as to whether using that lens on the S1R in the cropped sensor or APC mode will produce a full EVF screen image like with the SL or a cropped image which would complicate spot focus accuracy.

Testing the S1R with Leica and Voigtlander lenses. Really great system.

Mudflat walking strengthens the muscles, stimulates blood circulation, and the mud is good for the skin. Millions of ragworms ensure that the soil in the Wadden Sea stays enriched with oxygen and nutrients by...eating the sand and then excreting it. So, it's a bit like walking in a giant pile of worm crap. And what looks like a boring exercise can become addictive. Not only because our feet are some of our most abused body parts, but also because according to traditional Chinese medicine each major organ in the body corresponds with an area of the foot. The water in the Wadden Sea goes out for about 15km, so one can walk for hours...before risking drowning. If you haven't tried it, it's highly recommended...the walking part.

And if one walks far enough from the shore, it's as if one has landed on a different planet.

I only had the 75 Summicron-SL with me. Resized and cropped.
