Well said.....

This is one of the most enjoyable and least pretentious threads i have come across on this forum.....no scientific comparisons or pixel counting.....

Just the joy of sharing one's creative output....

i post regularly on the photo forums and would encourage others to do the same. However, i started this thread in part because i saw the need to celebrate the relevance of the m8 (m8.2) in the world today. I'm not big on consumerism and the notion that something is obsolete and of little value just because something new has been introduced into the market is ludicrous to me, it is consumerism in its worse form. Companies would like consumers to believe their cherished goods are no longer any good because something new was introduced, but why should we get sucked into that artificial fallacy???

The m8 (m8.2) remains as viable as ever, and represents a golden opportunity for those unwilling or unable to spend seven thousand u.s. On a new camera, and want to explore digital m photography. The m8 made history when it was first introduced and it has not lost its punch one iota.

Cheers!

Weekly construction progress photographs of the high school that I am project architect on, perhaps a bit overkill using my M8 but it's an excuse to use it almost daily.

#1 is Groningen, NL, where I used to live as a student. Brings back memories - is this the Noorderhaven?

@LourensJ: Gefeliciteerd met je M8, ik heb er ook een en heb nog geen seconde spijt van gehad.

Here are a few more of my B&W experiments. I am not there yet. A new digital camera indeed does cost some time to find out about the PP.

Film is soooo relaxing by comparison ;-)

I think slowly I am getting closer to where the B&W output of my R-D1 is out of the box. Makes me a bit happy to see the light, free after Lou Reed.
