Once again, can I ask that people stick to the Forum rules with regards to dimensions of photographs posted and file size.

This _includes_ photos linked through from Flickr.

960 max pixels in longest side

300kb unless you are a Sponsoring Member, in which case it's 600kb

Thank you

A great and fantastic shot. But did you do any sharpening?, as there are a bit vibrations at the contrasty edges?

best

Thorkil

ps, and if you got time to answer could one ask for your workflow, just in short?

It is sharpened yes, and then flickr does additional sharpening to the smaller versions.

The original is 1000px width so conflicts with the forums fairly strict size rules so I have to upload this version.

My workflow generally involves;

Straightening horizon, noise reduction, contrast, exposure, fill light, blacks (if nessecary) in lightroom.

Export to photoshop and convert to black and white in Silver Efex Pro 2 where I enhance blacks and highlights using the tone curve tool.

I also from time to time add a light vignette to focus the eyes on the subject.

Then resize to web and and do selective sharpening using masks.

Thanks a lot!! can see I would have to come up on the toes to follow...

It's surprisingly easy after a while. You just have to 'find your own style' as cheesy as it sounds.

For example I have not found my style in color photography. It's all over the place.

HBasil,

I like crisp images and enjoy the level of sharpness in your images. Are you happy with your 50mm Nokton? I have a 50mm Summilux ASPH and thinking to get something with less clinical sharpness for those times when I don't want that.
