Advertisement Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 Hi Andrejb, Take a look here X2 Viewfinder Options?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Chuck Albertson Posted January 24, 2020 Share #2 Posted January 24, 2020 I use a Voigtlander 35mm viewfinder (fits in the hot shoe) that I bought used. I don't think they're manufactured anymore, so I would start visiting shops that have a decent selection of used gear. It's not in the optical chain, so if you find one that's cracked or beat up, you can save some money.
jaapv Posted January 24, 2020 Share #3 Posted January 24, 2020 Cameraquest still has a few in stock: https://cameraquest.com/voigtacc.htm The Olympus EVF is identical to the Leica one.
DaveMo Posted January 24, 2020 Share #4 Posted January 24, 2020 There is a Leica Brightline finder for X1/X2 on MPB.com ,stock number is SKU:929384. I have purchased through MPB and they are very good and reliable. Open up the main page and search by "brand" and you should see it there or just search for the stock number. Full disclosure, I have no affiliation with MPB, just a satisfied customer. Dave
Andrejb Posted January 24, 2020 Author Share #5 Posted January 24, 2020 I have just purchased an Olympus VF-2. I figured being somewhat of a beginner, seeing the focal point and all the specs in the viewfinder will help me along the way. Appreciate all the help as always 👍
DaveMo Posted January 24, 2020 Share #6 Posted January 24, 2020 I originally purchased the Brightline finder for my X2 but the later swapped it out for the electronic finder like you. I like the fact you can see the focus points etc. when using it. I love using the X-Vario and X2 as they are basic and simple to use and kinda takes me back to my film days LOL.
