Sometime in 2020 (January, I hope) we will see updates to SL2 firmware and to FOTOS software to offer promised function and fix bugs.  So this thread is meant as a place to surface bugs that seem to be special to the SL2 when used thru FOTOS.  Not recognizing the images already taken in an SL2 when both slots have chips has been reported, and we can't ask how are we to tell FOTOS which chip we want to view images from until that is fixed.  But there are others...

If you would like to report one and get it fixed, please include step by step instructions for how to reproduce the problem and list any special configuration that might have been a factor.

Here's one that was mentioned in a thread about changing user profiles.  You can hang the SL2 by mixing together actions taken at the camera and those that FOTOS remote mode can do.

Start FOTOS and connect to SL2 with an L prime lens.  Open Remote.    Focus with touch on the iPad app viewer.  On the camera press the upper front button to magnify the view.  Now press the FOTOS shutter to take a picture.  (On the camera, this would undo magnification, then take the picture, but FOTOS can't do that.)  The camera doesn't take the picture, but from the sound, the AF mechanism is running.   Press shutter on the camera.  Nothing happens but now you are stuck and the camera doesn't respond to any controls.  Disconnect and switch FOTOS off and the sound persists.  You can't take a picture or get the magnification to go off. Turning the camera off and then on again will stop it.  There are flavors of this that I haven't explored yet, so it has not been reported (at least not by me).
