As far as I am concerned, Nikon makes the best fast action camera in the world. But this is a Leica forum. So, what settings are SL2 users using to get the best out of their cameras? After all, this is a forum. Isn’t one of its purposes to learn from each other’s experiences? I'm trying to tell you that whatever you gain from other's experience belong to others. You'll get to expend your understanding by reading other's experience but still will not get to optimise your camera. Trust me, I've been through it. The required AF tracking settings changes as the condition of light, type of background, size and movement of subject determines. If your panning technique cannot even let you keep the subject winthin the frame consistently, setting does not matter. And as much as you don't want to hear it you'll find that quite a few SL/SL2 owners solve the problem by having another brand camera they keep to fill the holes in the SL shooting envelope. Gordon How did I managed to get clearly focused 10 out of 11 frames after frame pictures using AF tracking of SL2 on my post in number76 post of 'Leica SL2 AF' tread by NRKstudio on 24th Nov 2019 just 3 days after I unboxed my SL2 if your comments on SL2 AF tracking capability were 'But the AF isn't ever going to have a high success rate.
