Specifications wise the Latest digital M has limited application although it has a great sensor designed for M lenses. With the rangefinder OVF, setting an accurate focus with lenses such as 0.95M50 and M90Cron is a real challenge for my eye. Only way is to rely on focus peaking in LV.

Unfortunately the M camera represent the core basics of Photography in which I grew up with. It is a camera to meet my desire and passion for photography. My actual workhorse is the SL2 and L mount Leica lenses. But I still fall back on my M to fulfill my desire than needs.

A week ago, I received an offer that is too good to pass on, so I sold my M10 and am waiting for the M11 to appear this year. The M10 monochrome will be out soon but too bad that it is not my cup of tea.

This year? I don't expect it before end-2021/2022. Have you got other information?

Biggest help for you would be someone else to throw the balls...

I have the same problem with focus on the SL2 with fast moving subjects - a case in point is my springer spaniel. I have tried all AF modes, presets and combinations and when the dog is running towards you at speed the focus is always a quarter of a second off. I put this down to the contrast detection AF system (which is very accurate for slow moving and static subjects but not so much speedier things) and the fact that phase detection AF is better for fast moving subjects (Nikon, Sony, et al). My old Fuji X-T3 managed about 50% in focus with him sprinting towards me.

In all fairness the dog is as fast as a speeding bullet :)

dog running towards you is probably the biggest movement challenge possible!!

Slightly more challenging is a pissed off fully grown male Lion charging at you.

This was with the M8 & 135mm APO Telyt, in the N. Okavango Delta Botswana on foot.  Made it back into my Land Rover with seconds to spare.....😅
