wlaidlaw Posted January 7, 2020 Share #1  Posted January 7, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have recently bought a Leicaflex SL2 with a 35mm/f2.8 Elmarit series 1 lens, with I think a 2 cam mount. It certainly looks like a 2 cam from the photos of the mount but I will be able to confirm, when it is delivered here later today. The 2 cam mount would be consistent with its serial number bringing up a 1971 manufacture date. From the very useful table provided on the French website Apotelyt.com, it appears that the 2 cam lenses may be used on my R4-MOT (with provisos) but not on my R9. Can anyone with experience of using a 2 cam lens on an R camera, please let me know of the implications of doing this. I am guessing that I may need to use the camera in M metering mode rather than my usual "A" aperture priority (either centre weighted or field). Given that my R4-MOT is in such beautful condition, I would not want to do anything that might damage it. The Leicaflex SL needs some work to clean the viewfinder lenses and maybe re-silver the pentaprism, where no spares are available from Paepke for either part. The Elmarit also needs a good spring clean. Wilson
