Does anyone have experience with SIGMA or Panasonic lenses on the SL?

I just bought the SIGMA 35mm f1.4 ASPH Art lens and it's awesome....Heavy yet balanced, quick AF, but in low light is not as fast as I expect it to be. Some low light exposures at DNG/RAW 6400 ISO are somewhat underexposed, particularly in comparison to my M series and CL digital....However, when using the L adapter on the M-lenses, they show better exposure qualities. Is it the long focal length of the SIGMA lenses that does it vs. compact M-Series lenses? I'm not sure. But it does represent a differential. In daylight, the lens is fast with accurate AF.

The questions then begs, will the Leica SF-40 flash be adequate for the SL ( I know it's recommended for the CL already)....

I just got the Sigma 45mm f2.8 L mount.  I haven't used it much yet but I can say a few things about it.  First, it is built like a Swiss watch...very high quality construction.  Second, it is MUCH lighter than any Leica or Sigma Art lens.  Third, it is about 1/8 the price of the closest Leica lens.  No question that it will not perform like the SL 35 f/2 but as a "walk around" lens for the SL2 when you don't want a Sherpa to help carry your stuff, it is excellent.  The few photos I have taken so far are clean and sharp.

Are you sure about that or do you just believe it because many say so? Would you notice the difference when you have two exactly the same pictures in front of you? I personally don't think so!

I was eyeing the Panasonic 16-35mm f4 but I picked up the Sigma 14-24mm f2.8 in the meanwhile.

I haven't used it extensively yet but what I have seen so far looked very pleasing and will suit my intended occasional usage.

You are right.  I have not compared side by side photos from both (I have many Leica lenses but not the 35 SL cron).  I'm just assuming, from prior Leica experience and a hope that a $4900 lens would be significantly better than a $550 lens.
