SL2 Auto ISO fixed at ISO 100

Got my SL2 a couple days ago, just got down to configuring it, and I am running into the following:

ISO set to auto---Auto ISO will not move off 100-- I am using M lenses on a Hawk's helical M to L adapter.

I am assuming it may be the uncoded adapter, as this also prevented activation of IBIS until I chose a lens profile.

Has anyone else run into this. or am I missing something simple?

Using Leica L to M adapter with no issues with several M lenses, so you may be correct in that it is the Hawk's adapter.

I think so, if you remove the adapter and put nothing on the lens mount, it stays at 100 also -- so ISO must be coding dependent. Odd, the M10 does not behave like that with uncoded lenses mounted.

Did you ever figure out a solution? I’m having the same problem now with the SL2-S and the Novoflex adapter

Kitreyes,   It could be your adapter or simply do a camera reset from the Menu.  I had other issues with the SL2, but it appears a Reset often clears the bug.  Try it.  r/ Mark

Tried a reset but the problem remains. 
 

FYI the Auto ISO is only stuck at 100 in P and A modes. In M and S modes it works fine. What gives?

Maybe you need to manually code the lens on the camera body; on my SL 601, I have to set a lens profile for A priory to work and with my Voigtlander lenses as they are not coded, even with the Leica M-L Adapter; This page has a great list of equivalents:    https://lavidaleica.com/content/leica-lens-codes

How can you use P and S modes with a lens whose aperture cannot be controlled by the camera body??

You don’t use P and S with M lenses ! If you use a Leica adapter you would see only M and A available

Just bumping this old thread up again.
Experimenting with SL2 and some antique silverchrom M lenses from the fifties.
Using the original L-M Leica Adapter and the camera ist set to Aperture mode.

Is it normal that with some uncoded M lenses the Auto-ISO stays at 100?
In my case it is an old Summaron and the SL2 did not ask me which lens is was; no Auto-ISO.

For the rigid Summicron, the camera asks to identify the lens and auto ISO works fine.
 
With 6bit coded M lenses the Auto-ISO works as well.

Some strange things…… 🙂

Strange, after I switched the camera 2x on and off, and attached other lenses and the Summaron back again, the Auto ISO is working now after the camera asked me to indentify the lens.
