Hi all.

While my grandma always had a red dot attached, I recently came to my first Leica by coincidence.

A couple of months ago, clearly in a state of mental derangement, I bought a Fuji X100F. As I already own an Olympus Pen-F (the digital one) I immediately had a sincere case of buyers remorse as those cameras are pretty redundant. So I returned the Fuji to the shop the next day. They took it back but refused to refund the money and gave credit instead. Damn it, dead money...

About two weeks ago, I was pretty frustrated and went back to the shop to cash in my credit for something I could make use of. The dealer suggested a Nikon Z6. I didn't want to buy it right away so I had a good night of sleep and returned the next day to get it. And why not? From what I read and saw it is a damn good camera for almost any application at a ridiculously low price. Clearly a step up from my MicroFourThirds toy. And helping Nikon survive - "oh, what's that???"

I swear it wasn't there the day before. The most beautiful camera I ever saw: a Leica M6!

Well, it says "Leitz" on the dot. And it looks like new. My god, I'm in love, its a good price, I need a lens, Leica lenses are kinda expensive, I gotta feed my family, pay the mortgage, pay taxes, ooops, "Thanks! Always a pleasure making business with you!"

So here I am, with tons of questions about how to shoot wich film and how to focus a 35 Summilux and how to locate the $/&%! Auto-Iso-Settings in the menu?? Please, be gentle, I promise I'll try the same.

Oh it feels soooo good to be here, happy Hollidays everyone!

Welcome. Leica M’s are things of great beauty.

I have had my M6ttl for nearly twenty years now.

Still got so much to learn.

In all that time, I have only ever seen about three other people with an M.

i hope that you enjoy your journey with yours.
