Advertisement Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Hi elansprint72, Take a look here Another lighthouse. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted August 10, 2006 Share #2 Posted August 10, 2006 Pete- I always enjoy your lighthouse shots -- please keep them coming. I think that the thing that really makes this shot is the distorted reflection on the receding wave.

elansprint72 Posted August 10, 2006 Author Share #4 Posted August 10, 2006 Thanks guys- does this look better? I have pressed the "auto-levels" button; for the first post I had adjusted it manually to make it look OK for my screen. Must say that I have found a huge difference between shots taken with the D2 and the FZ at the same locations on my recent holiday, maybe more to this digital lark than meets the eye? Is there any way, with this new forum, that one can view the image prior to posting? I'm more than a little pissed off with the way that it works compared to the old set-up but I'm willing to accept that it may be pilot error, given my track record. Cheers, Pete. andybarton Posted August 11, 2006 Share #5 Posted August 11, 2006 Pete To preview with the image, follow Bob's tip at the head of the Landscape section. http://www.leica-camera-user.com/landscape-travel/announcements.html DON'T use the "Manage Attachments" button below the text field, use the paperclip button above instead. Works much better and you can title individual images in a series too if you want to.
stuny Posted August 11, 2006 Share #6 Posted August 11, 2006 Pete - I actually prefer the first version, at least here on my work PC. Perhaps some level adjustments, but not as much? I think the lighthouse itself is better in the original.
yavetshm Posted August 11, 2006 Share #7 Posted August 11, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Pete I like these pictures. The lighthouse looks better in the first picture, the colors look more natural in the second picture and I prefer it. Haim
