Artichoke Posted August 5, 2007 Share #5 Posted August 5, 2007 Thanks. I have read the thread previously. I am looking for example photos. Particularly nature and floral. rangefinders are not good for macros by themselves, but as has been pointed out, they can do quite well with a Viso and the bellows attachment works to greatly increase this combinations capabilities I have posted many macros on the nature & wildlife forum here, but here are a couple that I did not put up yet a small dragonfly (about 3 cm in length) captured with the 135 TE and the Viso/bellows a close up using the 65 Elmar and the Viso without the bellows at near the limit for close up without a bellows or extension larger versions of these along with many other samples can be found here M8 Photo Gallery by Artichoke Vinagrette at pbase.com for florals and here M8 Photo Gallery by Artichoke Vinagrette at pbase.com for bugs I love the color/tonality rendition of the M8 as well as the details retained by it ...with the Viso/bellows combination the M8 becomes a very good macro camera ...the lenses for this are reasonbly priced & of excellent quality, though there are no tilt/shift lenses and sadly Leica no longer makes the Viso, so you will have to find a used one ...also using the Viso/M8 with flash takes a bit of legerdemain, but this can be done
