Michael Jones Posted December 1, 2019 Share #1 Posted December 1, 2019 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Ok, for the second time, I accidentally deleted a good shot with my Q2 in this way: Pressing the FN button displays the trash can on screen. Very convenient way to delete unwanted shots by touching the trash can while quickly reviewing shots in camera. BUT, be very careful when navigating shots forward and backward AS THE CENTER BUTTON WILL ALSO DELETE THE SHOT! Is there a way to disconnect the center button from the on screen delete function? Or perhaps require a delete confirmation? Edited December 2, 2019 by Michael Jones Clarification

jaapv Posted December 2, 2019 Share #2 Posted December 2, 2019 A deleted shot can be easily recovered if you do not overwrite it. So, should it happen, pull the card (don't take another shot) and run some (free) recovery software. There are many apps on the market, and some card brands offer their own. Don't fall for the commercial blah of some makers. The only problem you might run into is that some software writes DNG files with a .TIF extension. Simply rename to xxxxx.DNG and you will be able to open them. 1
