tommonego@gmail.com Posted November 29, 2019 Share #1  Posted November 29, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) I was taking photos at a local Thanksgiving dinner in town with my CL. I turned the camera off while talking to some friends, when I turned it back on it was switched to video from aperture priority, single shot. The weird thing was it wouldn't let me switch back. pressed the top left button and I would get a locked icon on the LCD. I turned the camera off again then back on still was on video, and again wouldn't let me switch back to single photo. I changed the battery and the SD card, still on video, and again when I pressed the left top button, wouldn't let me change back to still. So I pulled the battery again waited 2 minutes and finally was able to change the camera back to still. Took a total of 5-10 minutes but was still annoying. jaapv Posted November 30, 2019 Share #2  Posted November 30, 2019 A long press will lock the camera controls, that is correct. Another long press will unlock it.
tommonego@gmail.com Posted November 30, 2019 Author Share #3  Posted November 30, 2019 Learn something new, my question is "how did it happen?". I am reasonably sure I didn't press the left button then turn the wheel 2 clicks. Just changing between A and M takes a mental effort on my part, don't know why it is the one control I have an issue with. I had no reason to change the setting, especially to video.
jaapv Posted November 30, 2019 Share #4  Posted November 30, 2019 Not having been there, I sure cannot answer that question. But I can say that, with any tool, I have had moments that I had to ask myself: "how the heck did I manage to do that and not notice I did?"
