Jack_Flesher Posted August 5, 2007 Share #1 Posted August 5, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Maybe this is old news, but... Anybody else notice you can zoom the DNG only with the new FW? Also, the DNG zoom seems much higher quality than the jpeg zoom, AND the write times are a *lot* faster without jpeg. FWIW, Jack

guywalder Posted August 5, 2007 Share #3 Posted August 5, 2007 err, I dont remember Not being able to zoom in DNG only mode what I want to know is how come the review pops up 'instantly' on auto review, but you have to wait until its finished writing to the SD card before you can see it using manual review!? Venkman Posted August 5, 2007 Share #8 Posted August 5, 2007 Pointing out the obvious? There's a JPEG stored within the .png, that's what's shown there since day one.
Jack_Flesher Posted August 5, 2007 Author Share #9 Posted August 5, 2007 Well then it's clear my camera had a glitch with the older firmwares, because it would not zoom the DNG, had to have DNG+jpeg to zoom... Now it zooms the DNG by itself, so I guess everything is back to normal. Clearly at least one other person -- Jim -- had the problem before too though, so maybe it was an isolated issue. Weird...
