digilux 2 shuttercount, ser nr , strobe count etc says 00000 in 36 fields

Hello fellow Digilux 2 enthousiasts, can anyone explain what it means that when you check the shuttercount and firmwareversion etc etc that the screen has 36 fields filled with zero's '000000';

and in a second case i get 36 times a field filled with 'xxxxxxxx'

Maybe i checked the shuttercount too many times?

Can anyone clarify?

That is very odd behaviour. Have you tried with alternative fully-charged batteries? Or a factory reset?

Thanks for reply. Yes i did both , no results. One camera gave immediately the 0000000's, the other camera first gave the correct data, sernr , shttrcnt etc and the third time i checked the 36 field with the XXXXXXXX's appeared.

It might be worth asking Leica about the symptoms and see what they advise.

Hi @wda that's what i plan to do, i have 5 digilux 2 models with serial numbers in the 299000 region and in the 300000 region. I feel nervous tocheck the data again, being afraid they all 5 end up with this screen displaying 36 fields empty.
