Is it not possible to permanently reprogram the FN buttons? For example the round button to the right of the EVF is programmed to select display mode, but if you hold it down it offers additional options. But as far as I can tell its a one time use then it reverts to EVF display modes.

 

Are we not allowed to remap the functions?

Try pushing in on the control wheel when you select the function.  Then I saved everthing in a Profile.  Selecting the profile brings up all the choices I made for the buttons.

A profile doesn’t give you the option to access a specific function with a single button click. I’m trying to program one of the buttons to perform a specific function. The problem is the function only works once, then it reverts to the factory function. I’ve tried all the suggestions above and none stick.

I’ve tried every combo multiple times. Which buttons and what functions do you have assigned? Maybe it’s only specific functions that stick.

im trying to assign profiles to the button right next to the EVF- as I’m constantly switching between Cine mode and my main still mode while shooting and even though it’s only 3 button pushes on the menu, when you do that dozens of times while shooting it’s a pain.

Found a work around for my specific need:

I created a profile called Cine-4K/24 which has my Cine settings. Then I selected the Left FN button on top plate which switches to still mode and then adjusted all the settings to my preferred still settings and re-saved the profile.

Now I can quickly switch between Cine and Still mode with all my setting intact on each side with a single button push. It’s actually a better solution than what I was attempting.

 

But I still want to save a different function to the FN button next to evf.

Hi everyone I know this is a older post but I also had the problem of one use function buttons after reassigning .I discovered that after assigning the function do not test or use but go to your user profile that you are using and in manage user profiles re save that profile. It kinda makes sense when you think about it.
