macos Posted August 5, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted August 5, 2007 Bernardo, Brian, Stuart, thank you for your comments. I am glad you like it despite the everyday subject. Brian, the 2.8/60 is one of my favorite lenses, I also use it as standard lens on the R system. Taking into consideration that it is available at very low prices it definitely could be worth trying. martinop Posted August 5, 2007 Share #6 Posted August 5, 2007 The bee details + the colors + the lighting (especially on the bee wing surfaces) are very appealing.

Leicamateur Posted August 9, 2007 Share #14 Posted August 9, 2007 Marcus, a beautiful shot as usual! Out of curiosity... is it the "bare" lens on your E300 or with bellows? If it is the bare lens it's astonishing how close you can get with "120" mm... what is the minimum focusing distance for the 2.8/60?
macos Posted August 9, 2007 Author Share #15 Posted August 9, 2007 Peter, thank you for your comment. I am glad you took the time and had a look. Marc, this one was without bellow. You preserve the scale factor of 1:2 despite of the crop, therefore the bee is still quite large compared to the sensor area. For these bigger insects there is no need for the bellow, which makes it convenient to handle. The minimum focus distance is approx. 27 cm from the assumed sensor plane, or approx. 12,5 cm from the edge of the lens. Thanks for the comment BTW BR Marcus
