Leica M-D Typ 262 leather cover replacement?

My beloved M-D typ262 is showing nice brassing, but not so nice ‘leather’ covering. 
is there any second market ‘DIY’ replacement? I dont wanna send the camera to Germany as ot will take too long and its my everyday camera.

checked them... amazing work, but not supported.  
cameraleather also hasnt. Prob too niche.

Hi - I’m also looking for a replacement leatherette for my M-D 262, did you ever manage to find one?

I'm not sure where he sourced his nor whether it might be worth simply trying to contact him through his site but Mattias Burling has a 'Concrete'-coloured re-skin on his M-D Typ-262 as seen in this (very entertaining if you skip past the first minute) video clip of his review of the camera;

Thanks a lot Philip! Actually, funnily enough my M-D is the exact one featured in the video, and I was looking to re-skin back to black  Then again the concrete-colour makes it fairly special so I'm considering keeping it now...

Well fancy that! It really IS a small world! Much as I do like subtlety of the regular black covering I can understand why leaving yours as-is might be quite a bit of fun in the circumstances - at least for now. You could always source a re-skin of your choice - if you can find one - and fit it when, ultimately, you feel the need for a change.

Have fun with it whatever you choose to do!
