Einst_Stein Posted October 7, 2019 Share #1 Posted October 7, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have two cameras that have sound noise after powered on. One is Hasselblad CF-39 MFDB, the other is Leica Vlux 114. I am OK with the MFDB, I know it is the cooling fan. But Leica Vlux 114 is weired. Is it a problem? Advertisement Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 Hi Einst_Stein, Take a look here sound noise when Vlux 114 is powered on. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Einst_Stein Posted October 7, 2019 Author Share #2 Posted October 7, 2019 Just find a thread about this issue, or not-an-issue. It seemed very comment on Vlux 114 and FZ1000.
jcraf Posted October 7, 2019 Share #3 Posted October 7, 2019 I’ve been using a VLux114 for a few years. Never noticed any noise/sound when it is switched on. How would you describe the sound?

jcraf Posted October 9, 2019 Share #5 Posted October 9, 2019 (edited) I see, or maybe not! So it's an issue with the noise intruding when you're capturing video? I have never shot video with my VLux, and I can't say I've noticed the noise anyway (but I am a little deaf ). Since FZ1000=VLux114, it would seem that the noise is a normal characteristic then? If you have no such problem, you are lucky. I can’t say it is normal, it is a design flaw.
Jon Schick Posted October 9, 2019 Share #7 Posted October 9, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) It's the image stabilisation system, and perfectly normal when that is left switched on permanently.

It might be normal in its own sense. At least is not with FZ300. In fact, I know of no other cameras with IS except FZ1000 and FZ200, not sure about Vlux 5.
