stuny Posted September 25, 2019 Share #1 Posted September 25, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) I first met Vinnie decades ago when he was in high school and working part time in a tailor shop near our home. He's still there and the number two person in the organization. He always asks about my daughter, whose prom dress he altered over 40 years ago, and tells me that he always thinks of my father, who died 19 years ago. A lovely man Welcome, dear visitor! pedaes Posted September 25, 2019 Share #2 Posted September 25, 2019 (edited) Lovely image. I guess Vinnie is an interesting character looking at his nails. Do you really have a daughter in her 50's? You look much to young! Edited September 25, 2019 by pedaes
stuny Posted September 26, 2019 Author Share #3 Posted September 26, 2019 Keith - Thank you. Actually she turned 49 last May, and in Celsius I'm 23 years old. Vinnie is sweet, gentle, unassuming, skilled, and completely his own man. He has long nails to help in his work. The lacquer is part of his persona. Louis - Thank you. 1
Sparkassenkunde Posted September 26, 2019 Share #4 Posted September 26, 2019 A fine portrait of an interesting man. I really appreciate the context given, it is this what makes a picture into a portrait imho. Thanks for sharing, Stuart!
