Guest Posted September 9, 2019 Share #3 Â Posted September 9, 2019 (edited) Me too, especially compared to my SL 24-90 Edited September 9, 2019 by Guest
budjames Posted September 11, 2019 Share #4 Â Posted September 11, 2019 I've read some early reviews online. The general conclusion is that it's a really nice lens, but not in the sharpness league as the Leica 24-90. 99p Posted September 11, 2019 Share #5 Â Posted September 11, 2019 It would have to be pretty special to match the Leica 24-90 in terms of sharpness. Nonetheless, I'm intrigued too for it's constant f/2.8.
m9photo Posted September 11, 2019 Share #6  Posted September 11, 2019 (edited) IMHO, all the Panasonic lenses lacked of sharpness that we all are crave for. Therefore we stuck with the more expensive Leica own lenses. Edited September 11, 2019 by m9photo
budjames Posted September 12, 2019 Share #7 Â Posted September 12, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) I bought into Leica for the lenses. If folks are looking for a good balance between performance and system cost, check out Fuji XT3. I have this system, which is now for sale, and the lenses are excellent, better than my previous Canon "L" lenses. Not for the first time, you like free advertising. Balancing cost, performance and size nothing beats Leica M providing one ok OK with manual focus.  For clarity, I am not selling any of my M kit. Not sure about your "free advertising" comment. Buying a Leica and then using lesser Chinese knock-off lenses is short-sighted, IMHO. I bought Leica, M10 and also SL, for the Leica glass. There is no comparison for the type of shooting that I do. I spent 10 days in Scotland and Ireland with only my M10-P, Summilux 35 and APO Summicron 50. As it turned out, the Summilux never left my camera. Very compact kit!
