There's been a discussion about Tele Converters & SL lenses: https://www.l-camera-forum.com/topic/300194-panasonic-2x-converter-and-leica-sl-90-280/
As that discussion's veered off the original topic (I'm partly guilty), thought it best to report back in a new thread.

As Novoflex themselves were unable to confirm whether their EOS-L adapter would work, purchased this adapter purely speculatively in the hope that it would work with the Canon EF 400mm f/4 DO IS II USM lens on my Leica SL.

Received the adapter yesterday and very pleased to report that it works well in Single Auto Focus mode on the SL. It also works with the Canon 1.4x Tele Converter mounted to the lens, albeit with slightly slower AF and at times there's some focus hunting.  Occasionally it needs a nudge by turning the focus ring to help it lock on to focus. Pressing the centre of the  joystick on the SL also helps.

When mounting the 2x Canon converter, things seem grind to a halt, you have to use the lens in Manual mode.
Full EXIF is transmitted to the camera.

Notes:
When comparing the SL-Novoflex-Canon lens combination to the S1R-Sigma MC-21-Canon lens combination, (I have both cameras & adapters), there's no question that the S1R-MC-21-Canon lens combination is more seamless, faster, and works with the 2x Canon converter in SAF.

I mounted the Novoflex adapter to see if it would work on the S1R, nothing doing, it doesn't focus.
Also tried it on the CL, nothing doing either.

For those who want to use their Canon glass, it's the Novoflex adapter for the SL and the Sigma MC-21 for the S1R.
Seems like some L Mount Alliance politics at play here...

Best,
Mike

I tried it with my Ef 70-200 MK II and it doesn´t work at all.

Look at the Novoflex list of compatible lenses: EOS - SL Mount Compatible Lenses  both the f2.8 & f4 EF 70-200 lenses are listed, they don't say which version..

You've probably done this, but just to make sure, they specify that you should first mount the lens onto the adapter and then mount the adapter with lens onto the camera.
