davidginNYC Posted September 1, 2019 Share #1 Posted September 1, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) It’s the end of the official beach season this weekend, and with tomorrow being a public holiday in the US, I’m expecting Coney Island to be hopping tonight. Anybody up for walking around the boardwalk and nearby areas for an hour or three tonight, capturing the interesting “sea life?” First beer is on me!

I hope somebody made it because it sounded like a great idea - especially if you're equipped with an M10 and one of the 5.6 retro Elmars...
davidginNYC Posted September 2, 2019 Author Share #4 Posted September 2, 2019 Well, I made a valiant effort. But the subway trains were not cooperating. Our train stopped halfway there from Manhattan, and they announced it was being rerouted due to signal problems. The alternate route was to get on the train going the opposite direction, double back 4 stops and take a different train line. So I tried that as well, but after waiting and waiting for that train, I gave up and got on the Manhattan-bound train. So I had a 2-1/2 hour ride to nowhere! (But at least I had my Kindle with a good book on it.) Had I gotten there, I would have been using my new Q2. Oh well.
