PaulJS Posted August 31, 2019 Share #1 Posted August 31, 2019 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) What are your thoughts / preferences in regards to center weighted vs. multifield exposure metering on the Q2? On my Nikon gear, I never leave matrix metering but I keep going back and forth on my Q2. Edited August 31, 2019 by PaulJS

lykaman Posted August 31, 2019 Share #2 Posted August 31, 2019 Depends on your subject and other variables --- as an experienced photographer you should have no difficulty in deciding your metering requirements.. L
Viv Posted August 31, 2019 Share #3 Posted August 31, 2019 Can't comment regarding the Q2, but with my Q I use all metering modes, depending on the subject. I rarely move the focus point around. I prefer to acquire focus on the main subject with a half press and then recompose. This sometimes leads to the use of spot metering.
PaulJS Posted August 31, 2019 Author Share #4 Posted August 31, 2019 I probably wasn’t clear with my question. I love my Q2. I just spent 12 days traveling with it. With Nikon, matrix metering pretty much nailed it every time and I’d use CW or spot once in a blue moon. On my Q2, Multi field seems to misread the seen more than it should. I find I do better just leaving it on CW. I was curious if anyone else found this?
