elopezso Posted August 30, 2019 Share #1 Posted August 30, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi Folks, I could not find an answer in the manual so it may not be doable. Here’s my issue: If I set the camera to DNG, when I take a shot using one of the internal crop modes and press playback, I see the entire photo with the crop lines around the shot you took. If I set the camera to DNG/JPG, when I take a shot using one of the internal crop modes and press playback, I see the entire cropped photo only. Tis what I want! Is there any way that I can get the same playback as I get in DNG/JPG, if I shoot only in DNG? Thx for any help you can provide Ed

leicameech Posted August 30, 2019 Share #4 Posted August 30, 2019 Unfortunately, this is not (and has never been) possible. Not exactly sure why. When you shoot DNG only but put the camera in Monochrom live view or change the settings of the jpegs (contrast, saturation etc.), those setting will take effect and show in-camera while shooting only in DNG. Why the camera shows a jpeg reflecting all settings except the crop when shooting only in DNG is strange indeed. Nevertheless, not possible. For now anyway. Thx for any help you can provide Ed There is no real drawback to shooting DNG+JPG, as you can set LR to import RAW files only.
