This view is looking towards the north-east corner of the arcade. To the immediate left of the be-grilled window at the far end of the walkway can be seen a slim rectangular pillar. On top of this pillar is a bust of Maurice Ravel and this small monument was installed here in honour of the great composer who lived in the town from 1921 until his death in 1937. Incidentally; were the viewer to walk right up to this statue and turn left to face the north-west corner of the cemetery they would see the tomb of Charles Aznavour! Philip.
