colonel Posted August 20, 2019 Share #1  Posted August 20, 2019 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Inevitable questions .... I use a VKO strap for the Leica CL, but the fitting on the SL is different. Anyone recommend a hand strap ? I fancy protecting the bottom of the camera against scratches. Anyone use a case ? I am trying to find something very minimal, seen this ? Any recommendations of useful accessories ? thanks  Welcome, dear visitor! LocalHero1953 Posted August 20, 2019 Share #2  Posted August 20, 2019 I use a handstrap: Herringbone Heritage. The lower end is attached to a universal RRS Arca Swiss baseplate. Works for me.

sillbeers15 Posted August 21, 2019 Share #4  Posted August 21, 2019 The battery grip no doubt adds weight & bulk but I found it to provide: 1.  Vertical trigger, both dials & joystick, an economical wonder; 2.  Holds an additional battery for assured prolong usage. Under normal usage, I never had to remove 1st battery from camera for charging purpose and the external OLED screen shows both battery power levels; 3.  Allows the adaption of the original Leica S handgrip to be installed and user can grip camera comfortably due to additional battery grip height. In addition, the 3rd party shoulder strap provides fast attach/detach holders using camera left eye lope & eye lope on my Gizmo tripod fast release which I attach to the base of battery grip permanently. I like the arrangement as it offers me secure grip plus less stress over neck strap arrangement offered by stock camera strap.
RoySmith Posted August 22, 2019 Share #5  Posted August 22, 2019 I have the Harry Benz  Brogue SL It is amazingly comfortable with the heavy lenses - even the 50mm Summilux SL. I have walked for hours with it. I have the maximum length 135 cm so I can carry it cross body. By attaching it to top left of the camera and bottom right on the RRS  L plate (looking from the back) the camera carries with the lenses pointing down and can be swung up to the eye easily - like a sling strap does.
