This is a photograph I took just before the heavens opened up a couple of weekends ago. This is about the time that Britain turned into a giant boating lake. I've processed the picture two ways, attempting to create that heavy atmosphere before a cloudburst, where the light levels really drop. I can't decide if either of them are any good so your comments would be much appreciated.

Louis,

 

I like both of them - as you say they are different pictures. #1 has a very heavy feel that conveys the downpour that is brewing. #2 encourages me to explore around the frame while still capturing the mood.

I think it would be nice to combine the sky of the first with the foreground of the second.
