hjsesq Posted July 31, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 31, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi. I sent John flanges for my Norton 40mm 1.4 and Cron 50mm 1.2. Now have them back and need codes are for each lenses. Also, apparently it was necessary to insert a cut for the codes on each lens where flange screws go and so parts of a cut on each lens has a screw in it. Has anyone had this experience and what is the best procedure in this instance if that cut needs coding. Thanks, Harris

Thanks, Harris There is no code for the CV 40mm, or any 40mm lens even the CL Summicron-C 40mm f/2, so you would need to code it as either a 50 Lux or 35 Lux. Since it probably brings up the 50mm frame lines on the M8 coding it as a 50 would be the better choice.

It's an easy adjustment (little handy work needed) to do. You then need to code it as a 35mmm lens in order to not confuse the firmware, though. I coded it as a 35 Cron (thanks John Milich). This is now the best fitting lens (with respect to frame accuracy) of them all. It would be nice if all my other lenses would be as accurate.
