Erwin Puts's excellent article on sharpening

If anyone else is doing half of what Erwin does to inform the more analytically minded of us, I'd like to know who. I, just for one, have enjoyed his articles, plus or minus the odd gaff, for as long as I know he has been posting. I am also quite happy to use "excellent" as an adjective in front of his name and articles.

Thomas -

The disadvantage of the written word vs. the spoken word is that all inflction is lost. I have a number of Puts Books that I still rely on. It's nice to see Puts and Excellent in the same tit,e.

Yup, nice article.

It's really hard to interpret lines and then try to assess the trade-off between edge sharpness and moire. I wish he had put some pictures of faces in this article. These differences are more clear to me when looking at skin.
