I've just unpacked my M7 after some overseas travel and the viewfinder caught my eye, it seems to be slightly “twisted” or at an angle. In the picture attached, it seems to me that that below the top strip of reflective coating, the right side corner of the plastic (facing the front of the camera) seems slightly lower than the left. Would some of you be so kind and let me know if their camera is the same, no issues with angled shots to date, I haven’t developed my latest film rolls. Any opinions would be welcome. Leica Email: "I consulted with a technician that handles the analog M cameras. He pointed out that though part of the frame is tilted, it is not connected to the frame lines assembly so judgement of a level horizon for instance should not be affected if the frame lines are used as a guide. You can send the camera to the Leica Service Department at some point to get the tilted frame correctly aligned." I also visited the Leica store in Soho NYC. The team there were very helpful and said that it looks to be one corner of a retaining piece for the VF. As the other sides are in place, they do not think it will be an issue. They said a CLA would pick this up and fix the issue, but recommended, as it doesn't impact the use of the camera, not to rush any repair. When I get to the end of my current roll of film, I'll take a few horizon shots / level surface shots just to check things out. P 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
