brickftl Posted July 15, 2019 Share #1 Posted July 15, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) I need advice on Q2 focusing. I never seemed to have a problem with the Q when doing street work and indeed what I loved about the Q is that I almost never thought about focus - it just seemed to do what I wanted with no fussing. Problem is that I don't remember what settings I had on it, and I've since sold it. However, I can't seem to find the proper combination for the Q2. Generally on the street depending on available light I'm shooting between f2 and f5.6. I'm often hip shooting so I'm thinking I should have the camera set to AFc and tracking mode (although I don't know if instead I should be using field or multi-field). Conversely when I'm shooting landscapes or portraits I'm set to AFs and spot . Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated.

marchyman Posted July 16, 2019 Share #2 Posted July 16, 2019 I don't shoot from the hip very often, but when I do I use AFs and Face Detect autofocus. That's with my Q, not a Q2.
