I wouldn’t have said “problems”,  but it is definitely possible to produce moiré on the Q2.  I haven’t seen it in any architectural shots, yet, but a couple images that included bar code labels in the field of view (at the same distance as my subject, so focus was sharp) produced moiré.  The extra resolution of the Q2 vs. the Q makes it less prone to these issues than the Q was.  For example, a recent shot of the Golden Gate Bridge that I took that would have had each of the suspension cables be a different color if I were using the Q (I know,  ‘cause I have taken shots from the same location before) didn’t cause an issue with the Q2.  Same for a building that had been problematic in the past.

In short, yes it can produce moiré, but it is less susceptible than its predecessor.  It certainly doesn’t appear to be a common problem in my images so far.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

I also used to shoot the Q and although I also saw moire, I didn’t think it was too bad!

I currently use a Fuji gfx50r and I have quite a few files showing really bad moire with architectural subjects.

Might go back to the Q or Q2.
