feven0816 Posted July 2, 2019 Share #1 Posted July 2, 2019 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello everyone, i recently had an issue with my 240, there is a blue vertical line at left side of screen, sometime it is there, sometimes no. Also, i can find the line from RAW files in some of pictures. I noticed quite few people have similar issues, even the M10 users, some of them got the mapping firmware from Leica i have contacted Leica NJ, they asked me to send it in to for remapping, since i am in Canada, it will be easier for me just do by my self. does anyone have a mapping firmware that can share with me? thanks this picture was shoot vertically, so the line is at the bottom. lenspeeper Posted July 4, 2019 Share #5 Posted July 4, 2019 IMO, send it to Leica. Some things are ok to DIY, but not an M240. Mess it up and you'll have a very expensive paperweight.
jaapv Posted July 5, 2019 Share #6 Posted July 5, 2019 Well, Leica can provide a firmware update for a remap but I don't think they do so for the M240. As the mapping data are camera-specific, it would be useless to use an update provided for another camera. In fact it would make things much worse. You have no choice but to send it in. I just sent the camera to NJ this morning.
