sturkel Posted June 29, 2019 Share #1 Posted June 29, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) I know most of us are shooting raw with the Q2 but I was wondering what some of the JPEGS OOC could look like. I have heard so many negative comments yet I have seen some very nice examples. How about we send some samples of JPEGs to be posted here and get a feel what they truly are like. Wonder what the results would be?
Advertisement Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Hi sturkel, Take a look here Q2 JPEG Image samples. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wda Posted June 29, 2019 Share #2 Posted June 29, 2019 I would think that almost any Leica JPEG published here at relatively small sizes and low resolution would look pleasing, but I doubt that you can draw any meaningful conclusions unless you include sectional enlargements.

Trankster Posted July 5, 2019 Share #8 Posted July 5, 2019 I hope this isn't Leica blasphemy. Coming from a Fujifilm x100f that has darn nice jpegs coming straight from the camera, I'm curious if anyone has tried adjusting the Q2's jpeg settings to come up with good results. Would you kindly share your settings.
sturkel Posted July 5, 2019 Author Share #9 Posted July 5, 2019 I think this is a matter of personal tests, some like a shaper image other's don't . Same for vivid or standard. I will sometimes shoot both JPEGS and raw together and only process those raw images that could get a substantial improvement. I sell a lot of stock photos and for Getty stock libaray they prefer images with the least amount of processing. In fact many times the OOC image works the best for this.
