I love this series and agree that there is a sense of "ominous poignancy" (FHPdoc)....For me there is a certain "folorn-ess" as-it-were in these somewhat marginal structures which is emphasised by your "eye". As an architect I find myself often drawn to the "un-designed" design of these kind of elements when it goes beyond the merely utilitarian.

I noticed for this image in the series you called out the lens used - but not on the others. There appears sometimes to be almost physical vignetting rather than just fall-off on a couple of frames and maybe some "red edge" and I wondered if you would mind sharing what other lenses you were using?...

Thank you very much . The lonesome bus shelters have attracted my attention when I go out to shoot some photos in rural areas. I think they could be very eye catching. The "folorn-ess" is a perfect description of what I feel sometimes at this lost locations.

The physicall vignetting comes from a filter on the Zeiss Biogon 28mm/2.8. It's sometimes a bit over the top - but hey, I like vignetting and a very wide open lens :)

E.g.:

#1 and #2   Zeiss Biogon 28mm/2.8  wide open / #2 with soft-vignetting

 #3 Zeiss Biogon 28mm/2.8   @f5.6 vignetting caused by a Pol-filter

 #4 Zeiss Biogon 28mm/2.8

 #5 Zeiss Biogon 28mm/2.8 ~f6.8 vignetting caused by a Pol-filter

 #21  CV 50mm/1.1

 #22 Elmarit 24mm/2.8

 #24  CV 35mm/1.2

ad: "like an alarm clock. but yummy."

I guess this doesn't make any sense. The dull bus stop shelter in combination with the silly text is' worth a photo
