Only to justify the renewed investment (I bought the Noctilux 50/1.0 (v4) for a second time...) to myself:

These photos were taken almost 15 years ago by me with a Noctilux 50/1.0 (v4) on a Lumix GH2. At that time I could not afford the Leica M9, so it's only 2x crop (but the filet part of that, what the Nocilux 1.0 renders). I sold it in 2012 - and since then regretted it. Now it's time again to explore the possibilities of this magical lens.

A big ole fluff. M6TTL, Noct f1v4, TMax-400, Noritsu LS-600 home-scan. I like the f1 Noct most of all shot the way it was intended, on film. Click through for hi-res.

Día de Muertos

Leica Noctilux 50mm f/1 v4 @ f/1.0 on Sony A1

The Noctilux 50mm f/1 pairs excellent with the Sony A1 and a Techart Pro LM-EA9 autofocus adapter. Better balanced as with an M-camera and autofocus works surprisingly well with the A1.

Shot with a Noctilux 75/1.25 @ f/8 on Leica M9

Noctilux 50/1 on Sony A1:

To be honest: I like the Thypoch 50/1.4 version of this photo (shot with M9) better:

Like me, Stefan was a participant in a photography workshop at the weekend in Loft 4 in Offenbach, Germany. But his striking face and his personality were so interesting that I asked him if we wanted to take a few pictures. He agreed and for me it was the personal highlight of the workshop.

M 11 Monochrom with Noctilux-M 1:0.95 /50 ASPH., ISO 1600, f2 (from memory it was more like 1.4, but the information for the M is unfortunately not correct), 1/125
